Golda and the Meadow Path

Golda opens the door and takes a big breath of fresh air. In her pocket is a little potato for a snack. She walks along a narrow path to the meadow. A sheep says, “Baa,” and follows her slowly. A frog hops over and gently bumps her leg. Golda kneels, and the frog climbs onto her back for a short, silly ride. Golda giggles. Near a bench, she spots a shiny bracelet on the ground. A sign with a baboon points to a lost-and-found box. Golda puts the bracelet inside to keep it safe. That night, she looks up as a bright satellite moves across the sky. Golda waves and feels proud.
